The Parish Council assists the proistamenos (priest in charge of the parish) with the daily administration of the parish. Working in synergy with the clergy, Parish Council members provide lay leadership in the parish by ensuring that the financial administration of the parish proceeds smoothly and in good order, by helping to resolve administrative challenges, by engaging in strategic planning with forward-looking vision, by mobilizing the laity with regard to faithful stewardship and ministry, and by keeping the administration of the parish directed toward the fulfillment of the church's Apostolic mission.
