Fellowship

Being Together

We are a family, and we love
eating together, singing together,
talking together, working together. Join us!

Weekly Fellowship Meals

We eat together after Liturgy every Sunday morning. The food is free, and all are welcome! This is a good time to encourage each other, to have fun, and to “increase and abound in love to one another and to all” (1 Thessalonians 3:12). The food is provided by four meal teams, which take turns providing a fellowship meal every Sunday after Liturgy.

If you want to try new vegan recipes (and others) to bring for the fellowship meal during our periods of fasting, get our unique church cookbook, East, West, and Midwest, which we tested and compiled in 2013. It has 101 recipes from 17 nations plus inspirational quotes from many saints. Find it in our church bookstore downstairs or through Amazon.

Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF)

Orthodox Christian Fellowship is the campus ministry of the Orthodox Church. Here in Iowa City, we’re an official student organization at the University of Iowa. Our mission is “to help our youth discover that it is communion with God, through life in the Church, which gives real meaning and significance to life.” Visit OCF.net to learn more and find more resources. Email us    Follow us on Facebook
Our OCF offers not only a chance to come alongside other individuals and families in the love of Christ, but also a variety of events and activities geared toward fellowship and serving others. We also participate in the services and life of the Church, growing together in faith and love, and spreading God’s love to all those around us.
We have a student organization account through Campus Labs, a portal website similar to Facebook. Students and faculty, click here to login to Campus Labs or to register.
During the academic year, we meet on Tuesday evenings at 6pm in the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) of the University of Iowa (125 N. Madison St.) for compline and a short discussion, or in the homes of parishioners for a home-cooked meal and an evening of fellowship.

Our mission is to worship one God in Trinity and share the good news of Jesus with each other, people from all backgrounds, our neighbors, and the world. We do this through worshipping beautifully, connecting in fellowship, serving those in need, and providing spiritual teaching for daily living.
